The Thursday Instagram Challenge: “Postcards”

Winner of the week 3 “This is DC” challenge is “Hope for the Capital” by Navin Sarma. You can follow him on Instagram at @navinsarma

The theme for our week 4 challenge is “Postcards” It’s time to venture outside the Beltway. Post an image taken anywhere in the world beyond the DC metro area. Let’s see an image that could be on the front of a postcard. It can be a landscape or city scene. It can be a new photo that you take specifically for this week’s challenge or something from your Instagram archives. All you need is the URL to the image you want to enter (see the screen shot at the bottom of the page for additional instructions).

You can enter up to three images. We’ll accept submissions until Saturday at 5 p.m. Eastern Time, at which time readers will be allowed to vote on their five favorite images.

Voting will be open until noon the following Wednesday when a weekly “winner” will be declared. Weekly winners will get their Instagram account promoted on our front page and will have their winning photo featured at the top of the next Thursday Challenge.

The top five vote getters in each weekly challenge will be entered into a quarterly random drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card. (Click here for more information on our weekly challenges and quarterly drawings.) Last week’s challenge was “This is DC.”
