The new Artechouse

Story and photos by Victoria Pickering

There’s a new art space in D.C. that just opened on June 1st, with an amazing inaugural show featuring interactive works from French artists Adrien M & Claire B.  At 1238 Maryland Ave SW, it’s just a couple of blocks south of the Smithsonian.  Of course, we’re spoiled here in D.C. by so many free museums, but if you like digital interactive art, this one is worth it  at $15 during the day, $25 at night (timed tickets required).  If you are in withdrawal from the end of Infinite Kusama, you’ll definitely want to go.

I'm a D.C. native, but have only been taking photos for about five years. Even in that time, I've seen so many changes in D.C., and am increasingly interested in photographing the things in D.C. that are temporary or may be demolished, and the people who interact with the city. When I'm not out photographing, I'm a web developer.
