    Wolfmother at the 9:30 Club 3.4.16

    Back in 2005, Australian rock band, Wolfmother, exploded on the scene with a self-titled debut album that earned them numerous accolades; one of which included a Grammy. Rolling Stone even named it one of the best albums of the year. Now, ten-plus years later, Andrew Stockdale’s Wolfmother is back with a 4th LP,Victorious, that may just be the best follow-up album to date.     9:30 World’s Fair: Documenting the 9:30 Club’s double-anniversary exhibition

      The 9:30 Club is filled with DC music memories and last week they opened their doors for a free interactive, multimedia look back at its 35 years here in DC. When I heard they added extra tickets to the already sold out time slots, I quick snagged a couple and took my camera with me on Saturday afternoon for some low light shooting and a memorabilia-filled, immersive trip through the club.   My first 9:30 Club experience was back in college at the original location at 930 F St to see They Might Be Giants.     ‘WeAre The9 – Dave Farah’ by The Q Speaks

    That’s Dave Farah peforming at the 9:30 Club a couple weekends ago as part of “The 9 Songwriter Series.” Here’s the description from the 9:30 Club’s website: Founded in 2008 by singer/songwriter Justin Trawick, “The 9 Songwriter Series” is a touring songwriter collective and live show based in Washington, DC.
