The Kennedy Center goes green

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the start of Ireland’s independence, the Kennedy Center is having a month-long festival. There are many ticketed plays and concerts inside the Center, but there’s also a free celebration outside. Green astro-turf has been laid, food and beer trucks brought, and Irish musicians and dancers are performing throughout the festival. It lasts through June 5th – here’s the schedule.

I'm a D.C. native, but have only been taking photos for about five years. Even in that time, I've seen so many changes in D.C., and am increasingly interested in photographing the things in D.C. that are temporary or may be demolished, and the people who interact with the city. When I'm not out photographing, I'm a web developer.
