17th Street Festival Ends on a Fabulous Note

Saturday was the sixth annual 17th Street Festival and it offered up an art show, activities for the kids, booths for local vendors, a pet zone and, of course, live entertainment. The last hour at the entertainment stage featured two crowd-pleasing acts: Kristina Kelly & the Ladies of Cobalt and Drag City Divas. Both groups conjured up the spirits of R&B past. The Ladies took on the personas of Tina Turner, Whitney Houston, and Diana Ross, while the Divas’ soul revue drew its inspiration from Michael Jackson, Teena Marie, and Marvin Gaye.
